...to have the Holy Ghost 'come upon us'!

I want you to know what it means to have the Holy Ghost 'come upon us'! It has nothing to do with a spirit like 'figure' enveloping us. Nor does it come as a 'rushing mighty wind', or as 'cloven tongues of fire', nor does it 'sit upon us! It means, "When the Truth dawns upon us... we see the Truth!" When we realize that the "I" within us, is the father! Last night I was surfing the net and I came upon the Pope's farewell speech in Australia in 2008 when he addressed the young people at the close of the Catholic Youth festivities. His theme was from the book of Acts where Jesus said just prior to His ascension "It is not for you to know the times or the seasons which the Father hath put in His own power, but ye shall receive power after that the Holy Ghost comes upon you. Then you shall be witnesses unto me, unto the uttermost parts of the Earth"! And during my meditation this morning I thought of how this applies to the whole of humanity. When we read it we tend to think of it as being a bit of religious history. However, it was not said only for the benefit of those select few, but for all humanity! Nor did it have anything to do with His ascension. When we realize that God is the "I" within us... within ALL OF US, we will be endowed with the creative power of God! So, to convince humanity that 'man' and God are ONE... is the main purpose of the Church! That we might realize this, is the purpose of the Spiritual Rebirth! Which CANNOT take place through the concept of the Spiritual Rebirth that has been, and is still being promoted, by the Worlds Evangelical Churches! Only when we realize and acknowledge that God is the "I" within us, can we function AS God! Only then can we be endowed with power from on High! Then we can indeed function AS God (As the Father) as Jesus did! That the whole World should realize this, is the purpose of the Church, regardless of one's religious affiliation! The self, the 'person' we believe ourselves to be, must be crucified, before the "I" within us, (the real you and the real me), can be resurrected!

And it was this understanding that took place within Mary's consciousness, when the Holy Ghost 'came upon' her! She was endowed with wisdom, and with understanding! She was not 'physically' impregnated by the Holy Spirit, nor was it 'Jesus' that she gave birth to. She experienced the Spiritual Rebirth! She saw that God was the reality of humanity, and that every child born of a 'woman', was God (the Father), in the infant stage of development, including her forth coming son, whom she would name 'Jesus'! The Holy Ghost is synonymous with the Truth! This realization (this 'birth') took place in Mary's consciousness! It is synonymous with a 'Virgin birth', which in turn is synonymous with the Spiritual Rebirth! It was this truth she conveyed to her son from the cradle. It was His faith in what Mary taught Him that inspired Him to function AS the Father! This was (and still is) the only difference between Jesus and the rest of humanity! He functioned AS the Father, whereas the rest of humanity has been led to believe that we are the person our parents created when they named us at our birth! Thus the necessity of the Spiritual Rebirth! Which can only take place when we realize and acknowledge that God is the "I" (or the I am) within us! And when we choose to walk in that consciousness (As Jesus did). Then, and ONLY then, can we be endowed with power from on High! When our parents named us, and made us believe that we were the person they created when they named us, they actually robbed us of our God given inheritance; the creative power of God! That we might realize this in order to be reinstated as sons and daughters of God, was the purpose for His coming some 2000 years ago. God, the Father, so loved us, that He suffered the agony of the cross, that whoever should see this and believe in Him and walk AS Him, would never perish, but would have Everlasting Life! For as we walk AS the Father, we take upon ourselves the likeness of the Father. That 'likeness', IS THE CHRIST. Therein lies our salvation!

God did indeed make us in His image and likeness. But He did not create this 'person' we believe ourselves to be. Our parents did this when they named us at our birth, not knowing what manner of beings we so called 'human beings' actually are. Thus the necessity of the Spiritual Rebirth, which God provided as the means of enabling us to re enter His Kingdom. When we acknowledge Him as our reality, and choose of our own free will to walk AS Him, we have the assurance of His Eternal reality! Because He, is the "I" within each of us; the "I" that I am!
